GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A new report says hundreds of thousands of kids are losing a parent to a drug overdose. The researchers on this new study want change. Their study was just published in the journal JAMA Psychiatry. It says more than 321,000 children in the United States lost a parent to a drug overdose from 2011 to 2021. During that decade, researchers say, more than 649,000 people died from an overdose.
