Retiring On Social Security Alone Is Actually Possible In This Affordable Colorado City
Let’s be honest about something: the phrase “retire comfortably in Colorado” has started to feel like a punchline. Denver’s housing market has made national headlines for all the wrong reasons, mountain towns have priced out the people who actually work in them, and the general vibe around Colorado retirement planning has become one of resigned acceptance that it’s simply not going to happen.

A city ballot measure proposed by Mayor Heather Graham seeking to raise sales taxes to fund the Pueblo Fire Department and public safety technology was resoundingly shot down by voters on Election Day.
