Koreanz Restaurant opens on Wards Road, bringing Korean flavors to Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va (WSET)-- — A new treat for your taste buds is now open in Lynchburg. Koreanz Restaurant has taken over the former Famous Anthony's building on Wards Road. Owner David Kang said the idea to open the business came after seeing a need for Korean cuisine in Lynchburg. Kang said he became tired of having to drive long distances for Korean food, and after working in a restaurant downtown, decided to open his own.
Just Get Thai Express introduces authentic Thai flavors to Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A Thai restaurant in Cornerstone wants to give customers a taste of a different culture. Just Get Thai Express opened two months ago in the former location of Hawaii Poke and Greens. Owned by the same person, Patrick Anderson said since he's from Thailand, he wanted to showcase his home cuisine instead.
100 mile yard sale goes on despite weekend rain
Judy Moon, who has a room called Moonbeam Treasures at the Woodlane Antiques and Crafts building in Altavista, came outside to check out items for sale during the 100 Mile Yard Sale on Thursday. She sells many items including glass etchings, decoupage and bottle art. Ceramic classes are available through Robin Johnson.
