Starting with sun and finishing with gusty overcast as an oncoming cold front will spill over the Cascades
Friday will be really nice with more ridging that will bring us back to the mid and low 70s. Breezy winds will return Friday night as the deep upper low from the Gulf of Alaska starts to drop into the region. This will muck up the skies with mostly cloudy conditions and send decent showers across the entire PNW starting late Friday night in the Cascades and on the west side of the states then pushing east Saturday morning well before the sunrise. More mountain snow is likely in the Cascades with primarily rain showers at pass level and below. Below 4.500’ rain amounts in the lowlands could be anywhere from .5-1”. Mountain snow above 4,500’ could be anywhere from 4-12”. This could have a great impact on our current drought standing, but expect lots of runoff with the ground being too dry to retain all the rainfall.
