Thornton Seniors came together again Thursday at the center located in Central Baptist Church.  We would like to once again express our appreciation to the Church for the use of the building each week for our meetings and lunches.

Janice Bilbrey our site manager, Ann Brown, Shari Weimer, Doris Lemley, Beverly King, Alma Stewart, Earl Mask, Elaine Hairgrove, Doug Podell, Sherry and Ernie Sollis, Gayle Pennington, Wilma Lee, Wayne Sharp, Elizabeth Neason, Priscilla Holmes, Roger, and Sharon Watson and myself were the ones enjoying the get-together.

Elizabeth Neason called bingo today and the winners included Doris Lemley with 2 wins and then the blackout as well. Other winners were Wilma Lee, Shari Weimer, and Earl Mask, with one game each.  Congratulations to you lucky ones. Thanks to Elizabeth for calling our games.

The menu for Thursday, April 25 is to be smothered pork chop, lima beans, carrots, cinnamon baked apples, whole wheat dinner roll, and milk/tea.  Come join us as you will be welcomed.  Please let Janice Bilbrey know of your intentions at 254/203-2769 by noon on Wednesday if possible.

June is fast approaching and we look forward to Homecoming each year.  Dates this year are  June 13, 14 and 15.  The class of 1954 will be celebrating their 70th anniversary and there are only three that graduated that year still with us.  David Tilley, Gene Caldwell, and Mary Lou Kilpatrick.  So if you attended school at any time with these even though you didn't graduate in ‘54,  please try to come and join them in celebrating.

Remember to pray for the sick in our midst and pray in earnest for our country.

God Bless You, one and all.
