Mitchell County man accused of savagely beating a woman pleads not guilty
OSAGE, Iowa – A man accused of viciously beating a woman and then brawling with law enforcement in Mitchell County is pleading not guilty. Anthony Nicholas Evenson, 31 of Riceville, is now set to stand trial beginning June 5 for domestic abuse assault, and four counts of assault on persons in certain occupations.

Man takes plea deal after violent confrontation with Olmsted County deputies
ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man arrested after a violent confrontation with deputies has pleaded guilty. Andrew Joseph Fogan, 28 of Stewartville, was arrested on September 20, 2023, after a traffic stop in the 6500 block of Highway 52 in Olmsted County. The sheriff’s office says Fogan and the female driver were acting suspiciously and deputies determined Fogan had committed a domestic assault in the vehicle.
