Cody’s Original Roadhouse In Tampa Destroyed In Morning Blaze

TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on a major structure fire scene at Cody’s Original Roadhouse on West Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa.

Calls were received by our dispatchers at 5:15 AM. The first arriving units reported a fully involved structure.

Crews attempted an interior attack, but conditions worsened, so they pivoted to a defensive attack, utilizing elevated water streams from truck companies.

Firefighters are overhauling the partially collapsed structure and extinguishing hot spots. No first responders have been injured.

Heavy machinery has been requested to assist with the operation. The investigator continues to gather information to determine the cause, and there have been no injuries.
