Detectives in Fort Lauderdale are investigating the discovery of a man's body on Fort Lauderdale Beach, reported by beachgoers on a Friday evening. Fort Lauderdale Police responded to the 500 block of South Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard just after 6 p.m., where the body was found. While police notes mention a gunshot wound, spokesperson Casey Liening could not confirm this on Saturday afternoon.

This week in Boca Raton, Florida, two incidents occurred that required attention. In the first incident, a woman caused a disturbance at a local animal hospital, resulting in charges of battery, child cruelty, and property damage. The second incident involved a large house fire in the Le Lac Luxury Estates, which required the assistance of over 50 firefighters to bring under control. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries in either incident.
