Portal adds three more athletes to college athletics signing roster
PORTAL – Portal Middle High has had a dominant year in sports, and to finish out the 2023-2024 school year the Panthers decided to add three more athletic scholarship signees to the list of future college athletes. East Georgia State College has had some great success in their women’s basketball program this past year coming off a 23-4 overall win season and becoming the 2024 GCAA Champions. Adding to that new upcoming roster, the Bobcats have acquired senior Panther athletes, Tiara Kingsberry and Glendia Lowe. METTER, Ga. — Clickhere to nominate an educator for WJCL's Teacher Feature. Twenty years ago, Sandy Wilson was a stay-at-home mom with her sons. "My boys started school at the elementary, and I was staying home at the time and didn't have a job, so I started volunteering and reading with kids and being there and helping them and I thought, 'this is great.' I just applied. The principal asked me, 'You're pretty much here every day reading.' so I was like, 'OK!'" Wilson said.
