WORCESTER — Every morning and afternoon, crossing guard Jacqueline Bellos stands outside an intersection at Midland Street Elementary School with her handheld stop sign, safely escorting children and their parents both ways across the street. Brockton school board wants to raise the dropout age, proposes new state law
BROCKTON – The Brockton School Committee unanimously voted to propose a new law in conjunction with the Massachusetts Association of School Committees to raise the legal school dropout age in the state from 16 to 18.
