Young Survival Coalition hosts ‘Walk in the Woods’ on Saturday
The New Jersey chapter of the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) will launch with a special event titled “Walk in the Woods” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The event, dedicated to connecting young breast cancer survivors, will take place at the Gnome Hollow Preserve, 2039 Stillwater Road, Newton. It is hosted by Ridge and Valley Conservancy.
NY weather: Be prepared for dense fog in part of New York Wednesday morning
The National Weather Service issued a report at 7:20 a.m. on Wednesday for dense fog until 9 a.m. for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties. "Patchy dense fog is being observed across the Lower Hudson Valley, portions of northeast NJ and portions of southern CT. The dense fog is expected to remain patchy and lift by 9 a.m. Use caution if traveling this morning. Use low-beam headlights and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you," according to the weather service.

SOMERSET, NJ -- Warren Bell pitched a one-hitter to lead Franklin to a 3-2 baseball victory over Watchung Hills on Thursday. Bell, a senior right-hander, struck out four batters and walked four in seven innings and 97 pitches.
