Man stabbed, killed near walking trail in southeast Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas police are investigating after a man was found stabbed to death near a walking trail in the southeast valley. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a report of the stabbing around 12:52 a.m. on Saturday, May 25. The officer arrived at the 2600 block of South Lamb Boulevard and located a male suffering from a stab wound to the neck near a walking trail.
Police search for escaped inmate from Southern Desert Correctional Center
LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Las Vegas police are searching for an inmate who escaped a medium-security facility outside of the valley over the weekend. The inmate, identified as Alan Woodward, is believed to have fled Southern Desert Correctional Center between the hours of 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Wildfire burning southwest of Las Vegas 70% contained, caused by target shooting: BLM says
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Firefighters made progress overnight on a 150-acre wildfire burning in the Red Rock National Conservation Area about 20 miles southwest of Las Vegas. According to Nevada Wildfire Information, the Bird Springs fire was reported Monday around 11:40 a.m. and is south of State Route 160, near Late Night Trailhead and the Blue Diamond community. The closest town is Mountain Springs.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A 25-year-old woman is dead on Monday morning after being struck by a suspected drunk driver in the southwest valley.
