Lynnwood sets Oct 26 for $2.2 million Property Tax Levy Public Hearing
LYNNWOOD — Residents will have a chance Monday to weigh in on the city’s proposed 2027 regular property tax levy, which city officials say could rise by using previously unused “banked capacity” under state law. Lynnwood’s current regular levy is $8.9 million. It has $2,204,548 in banked capacity, which would bring the maximum levy without a vote to $11,104,548.

A Seattle-based Amazon employee is suing the company after she says a senior manager raped her on a New York work trip in 2023. According to the Seattle Times, she told Amazon’s HR department, reported the assault to the New York Police Department, and underwent a rape kit exam.
