SUMMIT, NJ -- It’s been a long season already for the Summit Volleyball Team. With a record of 14-7 (3-5 in the UCC), we spent time with Coach John Ross to get his thoughts as the team prepares for the semifinals of the Union County Tournament.

We got through the first round of counties yesterday (Monday) against a tough Union team.  We were led by senior Captain Sebastian Arias, who tallied 16 kills.

We struggled in set one and lost 23-25 due to lack of focus. But, the boys took over in set two and closed them out in set three to win 2-1.

What's your feeling about this week?

We have Westfield in the semis at ALJ Clark High School on Wednesday.  We have struggled against them during the regular season, but the boys know that it’s win and move on or lose and go home.
