Tuesday „ A Grief Share support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Wednesday „ 'Alliance Bank, its Board of Directors, shareholders, officers, employees and account holders, has supported the Dinner Bell feeding ministry many times yearly since 2016,' said program director Judy Gilbreath. 'Chartered on June 13, 1927 as Sulphur Springs State Bank, the name was changed to Alliance Bank in October 1996 as it began operations beyond Hopkins County. It currently maintains a prescence in six different counties — Hopkins, Hunt, Franklin, Collin, Rockwall and Tarrant. The Dinner Bell appreciates the continued support of this great banking institution.' Grab and go with a meal from the distribution area under the covered driveway on the northeast corner of the First United Methodist Church campus starting around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. This week's menu includes pulled pork on cornbread squares, jalapeno potato salad, seasoned pinto beans and ooey gooey butter cake.

„ Wednesday Night Fellowship Meal will be offered at First Baptist Church-Sulphur Springs from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. Wednesdays. RSVP online at www.ssfbc.org.

Friday „ Cumby Food Pantry will be open 8 to 11 a.m. every Friday at 8285 Interstate 30 service road southwest in Cumby for families in Cumby, Hopkins County and surrounding areas who are in need. Those on Pan Program can now pick up one box per month on Friday. Donations are welcome. For information, call 903-994-2689, and for food emergencies, call 903-513-4612.

„ Mitchell Chapel C.O.G.I.C. will host lunch from 10:30 a.m. until it’s all gone for a $10 donation. Dine in or carryout available. Menus vary by the week. SPECIAL EVENTS

„ Brashear Baptist Church will hold a revival, with preaching led by Larry Jordan and worship music led by the McNeills. The revival begins Sunday, April 21 through Wednesday, April 24. Sunday services will begin at 11a.m. and 6 p.m. Services Monday through Wednesday begin at 6:30 p.m. each evening.Brashear Baptist Church is located at 134 FM 2653 in Brashear.

„ Harmony Cemetery Association of Hopkins County, Inc., will hold their Annual Business Meeting on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in the Harmony Church located at 316 C. R. 2397, Winnsboro, beginning at 10 a.m. A Memorial service and dedication of the new Veterans’ Memorial will follow. Our special speaker will be Col. Joel Newsom, Retired. Folks are encouraged to bring a covered dish lunch to share under the pavilion at noon.
