A Texas County man faces numerous charges – including five felonies – following a series of Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigations over the past couple of months.

The man is Brandon M. Ingram, 25, of 10740 Highway 17 in Success.

In the first case, Ingram faces a felony stealing charge following an incident in March.

A deputy reported that on March 22, he responded to a Highway AA location in Bucyrus where a man had hired Ingram to cut timber. The man told the officer his neighbor had hired Ingram, but Ingram had allegedly cut a fence, gone onto his property and cut down a large white oak tree.

The deputy spoke with the neighbor and was told Ingram had cut down close to 50 trees and only paid him $180. The neighbor also said he had advised Ingram that the fence was the property line and not to cut anything on the other side.

Cash-only bond in the case is set at $1,000.

In the second case, Ingram faces a misdemeanor charge of violating an order of protection for an adult.

Also on March 22, a woman who had an order of protection served on Ingram on March 8 showed a deputy text messages he had sent to her. She also reported that he has driven by her residence multiple times and that she receives phone calls, texts and voicemails from him on a daily basis.

In the third case, Ingram and Neilson N. Neal, 48, of 13151 Highway C in Licking, each face four felony charges, including first-degree burglary, first-degree property damage and two counts of stealing a firearm.

    NEILSON NEAL

On May 13, a deputy was contacted by a man who said his vehicle had been broken into while he was vacationing over the weekend and several items had been stolen from inside, including two guns.

The vehicle owner told the officer he looked at surveillance video and observed Ingram and Neal on his property.

Cash-only bond in that case is set at $5,000 for Ingram and $3,000 for Neal.
