Drugs seized from Monroe County hotel room, three arrested

BARTONSVILLE, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Three men were arrested after police say various drugs were found in a Monroe County hotel room.

The Monroe County Office of the District Attorney Criminal Investigations Division announced the arrests of the following three men;

• Branden Cabrerra, 29 of Effort
• Christopher Ferraro, 32 of East Stroudsburg
• Dylan Smith, 28 of Stroudsburg

Police say a search was conducted at a hotel room at the Night Lodge in Bartonsville, Monroe County on April 30 after an investigation revealed drugs were inside the room.

Once on the scene, officers saw drugs and drug paraphernalia resulting in the arrest of the three men.

Inside the room detectives reported they seized syringes, both used and unused, a crack pipe, and empty heroin/fentanyl packets. Also seized was a bag of heroin/fentanyl in the room along with a scale, police noted.

Farrero had an outstanding warrant in both Monroe County and Luzerne County, while Smith was currently on parole, and Cabrera violated probation, investigators said.

The three are now facing charges relating to the drugs and paraphernalia located in the room.
