STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — A demo held on Wednesday at the University of Connecticut taught officers what to do when responding to a scene where a vehicle hits a pedestrian.

“It’s truly important,” said Eric Jackson, the executive director of the Connecticut Transportation Institute.

The simulation also included what to do if a bicyclist is hit by a car.
