Clean up continuing in Rochester after severe storms knocked down trees and branches
ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Parks & Recreation Department is continuing clean-up activities in Rochester after multiple weather events. With over 350 requests for service, Forestry teammates are conducting tree work based on priority. Crews will address threats to safety and travel first. Limbs down in the boulevard or parklands that do not block the street or sidewalk are a lower priority and will be handled after high-priority trees have been addressed.

While the clinic is looking for real estate in the city, it will be opening up a temporary emergency veterinary clinic in the back of the Stewartville Animal Clinic starting mid-June.
10 lot affordable housing development up for bid in Olmsted County
ROCHESTER, Minn. – Contractors can now bid on the redevelopment of 10 single-family homes on Red Hawk Drive in southeast Rochester. This affordable housing project is being made possible by $680,000 in funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, which allowed the Olmsted County Housing and Redevelopment Board to acquire 10 residential lots for this initiative.
Rochester police lawyer becoming Steele County Attorney
OWATONNA, Minn. – Robert J. Jarrett has been appointed the new Steele County Attorney.
