PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Ryan Schaffnit threw a one-hit shutout as Morton blanked visiting East Peoria, 10-0, in a key Mid-Illini Conference baseball game on Monday night. The win moves Morton into sole possession of first in the conference with an 8-1 league record. Morton scored six runs in the fifth inning to get the score to 10-0 which ended the game on the ten-run rule.
