STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A teenage boy is dead after his motorcycle collided with a car Friday night in Stamford.

The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad arrived at the intersection of Lockwood Ave. and William St. for a motor vehicle accident at around 9:13 p.m.

Investigators determined that a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle being operated by a 17-year-old male was traveling northbound on Lockwood Ave., while a 2011 Toyota Corolla being driven by a 58-year-old was traveling southbound.

Police say the Toyota was in the process of making a left turn when it entered the motorcycle’s lane of travel. The operator of the motorcycle could not stop in time and crashed into the front of the Toyota.

The 17-year-old was taken to Stamford Hospital where he died from his injuries. Due to his age, his identity will not be released.

The operator of the Toyota stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Stamford police is asking anyone with information about this crash to call 203-977-4712.
