School board endorses new teacher evaluation procedures
WESTPORT — Offered the chance to change the state’s controversial and cumbersome teacher evaluation system, the school district has seized the opportunity. In its place, school officials, with the help of the teachers’ union, have developed an updated system that relies on feedback and growth rather than a rubric system and open-to-interpretation labels.
