A woman was found stabbed to death in the bathtub of her Manhattan apartment, according to police, who are now looking to track down her ex-boyfriend. The grisly discovery was made around 7 p.m. Tuesday at an East Harlem apartment building on Second Avenue, police said. Officers were called to perform a wellness check after the victim, 33-year-old Melanie Woods, missed a planned trip to California.

Driver Identified After Fatal Crash in Bedford
BEDFORD, N.Y. - The New York State Police have finally made a positive identification of the driver killed in a crash on I-684 earlier this month. The process was complicated by the operator using what authorities described as a “false alias.”CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER On Sunday, April 14, at approximately 3:15 p.m., troopers from the Somers barracks were called to the northbound side of I-648 in Bedford, where a 2006 Honda CRV had veered into the median at a high rate of speed before striking a tree and killing the sole occupant of the vehicle. The initial investigation identified the driver as Jose Perez Rosa, but the driver’s license was later found to be fraudulent. Further investigation revealed that the deceased was Mario B.
