    Tornado Watch issued across the Ozarks

    Update 4:10 p.m. – The tornado watch has extended to Dent, Howell, Maries, Miller, Oregon, Phelps, Pulaski, Shannon, Texas and many other counties throughout Missouri.

    In Arkansas, Baxter, Boone and Marion County have been added to the tornado watch.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A tornado watch has been issued throughout much of the Ozarks, according to the National Weather Service in Springfield, Missouri.

    The tornado watch is currently impacting Barry, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Morgan, Newton, Ozark, Polk, St. Clair, Stone, Taney, Vernon, Webster and Wright counties in Missouri. Benton County and Carroll County in Arkansas are also under a tornado watch at this time.

    The Tornado Watch is expected to remain in effect until 9 p.m.
