    Thousands without power Sunday in the Ozarks

    Severe storms in Missouri from Sunday evening and deadly storms in Arkansas from overnight Sunday have left thousands across the Ozarks without power Sunday night.

    According to the AMEC Missouri outage map , severe weather from Sunday night has caused many power outages in south-central Missouri, including:

    • 799 people in Shannon County
    • 483 people in Howell County
    • 322 people in Texas County
    • 267 people in Oregon County
    • 207 people in Pulaski County

    In addition to those outages, thousands impacted by the storms that hit Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri early Sunday morning are still suffering through power outages. As of 7:30 P.M. on Sunday, Marion County, Arkansas has the most people in the dark. According to Poweroutage.us , 10,152 homes out of 10,970 tracked in Marion County are without power, with an additional 8,511 homes in Baxter County also without power.

    In Missouri, Barry County has 8,040 without power. Also, a major cluster of outages in the far eastern part of the Ozarks is leaving tens of thousands of people without power.
