    Baseball roundup: Springfield High's Sam Hartl rolls, and other results from Tuesday

    Here are the high school baseball results around Springfield from Monday and Tuesday:

    Tuesday's results

    SPRINGFIELD HIGH 6, LITCHFIELD 1: At Robin Roberts Stadium, Sam Hartl’s no-hitter was spoiled by a home run in the fifth inning but still managed to go the distance in a nonconference win.

    Hartl gave up just two hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Litchfield’s Tate Dobrinich spoiled the no-hitter with a solo shot with one out in the fifth.

    Tyler Elliott had a hit with three RBIs in the No. 9 hole while A.J. Ozier, Carter Kruse and Arthur Davison each had two hits. Davison and Kruse each scored two runs near the bottom of the order.

    Dobrinich suffered the loss in two innings thrown. He gave up one earned run on three hits and no walks with three strikeouts.

    CHATHAM GLENWOOD 13, SOUTHEAST 3 (6 innings): At Eisenhower Park, Krayton Reincke went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs to lift Glenwood to a Central State Eight Conference victory.

    Southeast plated three runs in the bottom of the first inning on a Glenwood error and a two-run triple by Braxton Twist.

    Glenwood took the lead for good with six runs in the second, getting an RBI double by Reincke and a two-run double by Rigley Hickman. Reincke added a run-scoring double in the fourth.

    Cru Erickson finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Michael Lucas had three hits and scored twice for the Titans. Winning pitcher Dylan Huff and reliever Ryan Dunbarthrew three innings each and the duo combined for eight strikeouts, two walks and allowed three hits apiece.

    SACRED HEART-GRIFFIN 19, JACKSONVILLE 4 (5 innings): At Jacksonville, SHG rattled off 14 hits and Charlie Linderman had a big game as the Cyclones posted a Central State Eight Conference win.

    Linderman finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and four runs in the leadoff spot. Andy Antonacci had three hits and two RBIs and Gage Luttrell scored three times and went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Jake Keppler contributed two hits with a double and two RBIs.

    Antonacci, the winning pitcher, allowed four hits and four runs (two earned) to go with four strikeouts and five walks in four innings of work.

    Liam Lane was a perfect 3-for-3 and scored a run for Jacksonville.

    ROCHESTER 16, DECATUR MACARTHUR 0 (4 innings): At Decatur, Bryan Zulauf threw a no-hitter and allowed just one walk with eight strikeouts in the Central State Eight Conference win.

    Jack Swaney had a triple with an RBI and run while Jett Myren, Jackson Phillips and Adan Nieves each had a double for the Rockets. Phillips finished with two RBIs.

    PETERSBURG PORTA 7, AUBURN 2: At Auburn, PORTA took the lead with four runs in the fourth and notched a Sangamo Conference victory.

    Levi Hoagland doubled to get PORTA within 2-1 in the fourth. Jett Karrick tied the game with an RBI single and Drew Atwater drove in a run with a single and another run came home on an Auburn error to give the Bluejays a 4-2 lead.

    PORTA tacked on three runs in the sixth. Atwater and Trace Donnan highlighted the inning with each delivering run-scoring singles. Winning pitcher Kendall Davis pitched six innings, striking out eight and walking one, and Barrett Morse collected two hits and scored twice.

    Eric Kessler had an RBI double in the first and Jed Ferguson had a solo home run in the third for Auburn.

    LINCOLN 15, DECATUR EISENHOWER 0 (4 innings): At Lincoln, Dylan Ferguson hurled a one-hit shutout as the Railers won a Central State Eight Conference game.

    Ferguson fanned six and walked one. Jarrett Evers tripled, went 2-for-2 and drove in three runs and scored twice. Wes Tedrick added two hits, scored a pair of runs and had an RBI.

    BEARDSTOWN 20, WEST PRAIRIE 10 (6 innings): At Beardstown, the Tigers scored 12 runs in the bottom of the third inning and finished with 16 hits.

    Payton McCoy had three hits, including a two-run triple, and drove in five runs for Beardstown. Parker Bell and Colby DeSollar both doubled, and each had two hits, three runs scored and three RBIs apiece.

    Trey Riddell went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Caleb Hobrock and Ethan Heller chipped in two hits apiece.

    WILLIAMSVILLE 3, NEW BERLIN 2: At Williamsville, the Bullets scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and eked out a Sangamo Conference win.

    Williamsville trailed 2-0 until Kaden Matson and Kyle Heubner each scored a run on an error and Kyle Carter singled in a run for a 3-2 lead.

    Winning pitcher Brayden Saling threw five innings to pick up the win. He struck out four, walked zero and gave up seven hits and one earned run. Nathan Simko tossed the final two innings, striking out two without giving up a hit.

    Ryan Hepperly and Trevor Colwell both had RBI doubles for New Berlin.

    JACKSONVILLE ROUTT 9, MOUNT STERLING BROWN COUNTY 0: At Mount Sterling, Brady Turner totaled 11 strikeouts in a complete-game victory. He gave up just four hits and one walk.

    Turner also delivered a hit with two RBIs. Ditto Isaac Long.

    Nolan Turner, Bryson Mossman and Conrad Charpentier each had two hits with two runs and one RBI. Eli Olson had the other RBI for the Rockets.

    GILLESPIE 19, CARLINVILLE 0 (4 innings): At Carlinville, a 13-run third inning and a no-hitter helped seal a South Central Conference win for Gillespie.

    Bryce Buhs threw the four-inning no-hitter as he struck out nine and walked three. Buhs also had a two-run home run and he finished with three RBIs.

    Bryce Hohnsbehn went 2-for-2 with a two-run double and ended with four RBIs. Colin Griffith doubled and had three RBIs while Jack Kaylor was 2-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs for the Miners.

    NORMAL U-HIGH 14, LANPHIER 0 (5 innings): At Normal, U-High three pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts and a no-hitter on its way to a Central State Eight Conference win.

    The Pioneers totaled 14 hits and scored eight runs in the third inning. Winning pitcher Cameron Clifton (one inning) was the winner and teammates Carnahan (three innings) and Connor Macmillan (one inning) combined on the shutout. The trio allowed two walks.

    Charlie Vercruyse went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Gavin Michaels had a hit and drove in three for U-High.

    STANFORD OLYMPIA 6, ATHENS 3: At Stanford, the Spartans broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for a Sangamo Conference win.

    Tyler Dabney’s two-run double gave Olympia the lead in the sixth and Caden Kindred tossed a complete game, allowing three earned runs on eight hits to go with seven strikeouts and one walk.

    Kyle Weatherford (2-for-4) had a two-run double, and Josh Harris (2-for-4) drove in a run with a single that gave Athens a 3-2 lead in the fifth. But Olympia’s J.D. Brammeier came through with an RBI double to tie the game in the bottom of the inning.

    VANDALIA 7, HILLSBORO 3 (12 innings): At Hillsboro, Vandalia scored four runs in the top of the 12th inning to pull out a South Central Conference win.

    Ayden Jones gave Vandalia a two-run lead with a single and Kohner Depew added an RBI triple in the 12th.

    Nathan Matoush went 4-for-6 with a double and an RBI for Hillsboro. Matoush threw 6 2/3 innings, compiling 14 strikeouts in a no-decision. He walked two, allowed four hits and gave up three runs (one earned). Jace Stewart tossed five innings in a losing effort.

    PLEASANT PLAINS 11, MASON CITY ILLINI CENTRAL 0 (5 innings): At Plains, Cooper Schallenberg finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs in a Sangamo Conference win.

    Drew Green and Sean Lowder each scored two runs with one hit. Charlie Severino led off the order and went 3-for-3 with a run.

    Colton Boon and Carter Durako combined to throw a no-hitter against the Cougars. Boon lasted four innings and struck out six with one walk. Durako struck out three in one inning.

    CARTHAGE ILLINI WEST 11, HAVANA 1 (5 innings): At Carthage, Jaron Boggs and Landon Oatman had the only hits for the Ducks in the nonconference loss.

    Reece Shoup struck out eight in a complete game. He allowed just one run on two hits and one walk.

    PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 9, PANA 4: At Pana, Southwestern scored six runs over the final three innings and posted a South Central Conference victory.

    Madyx Angel and Blayne Pope had two hits each with Pope finished with an RBI. Pana took a 4-3 lead with four runs in the fourth. After Angel doubled, Pope drove him in with a single. Logan Sims had an RBI single, Dane Epley walked with the bases full, and Ryan Karbach had an RBI groundout.

    Southwestern plated three runs in the fifth to seize control. Parker LeMarr had an RBI triple in the go-ahead inning.

    MAROA-FORYSTH 8, RIVERTON 5 (8 innings): At Riverton, Maroa-Forsyth scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning and pulled out a Sangamo Conference win.

    Tate Brandenburg’s two-run double in the eighth gave the Trojans a two-run lead and Zayn Giles followed with a run-scoring single.

    Riverton tied the game at five apiece with two runs in the bottom of the seventh when Julian Rice singled in two runs to force extras.

    Tyler Meyer went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs and Bradley Armstrong was 3-for-4 for Riverton.

    RUSHVILLE-INDUSTRY 9, HAMILTON WEST HANCOCK 8: At Hamilton, Carter Fretueg homered and finished with two RBIs, and the Rockets held on for a win despite giving up five runs in the bottom of the seventh.

    Bennett Fretueg delivered two hits and two RBIs. Wyatt Fowler had a triple with two RBIs.

    Jake Martens registered a hit with three RBIs for Hamilton.

    Monday’s results

    PLEASANT PLAINS 3, SACRED HEART-GRIFFIN 1: At Comstock Field, Sean Lowder collected the win for the Cardinals in 6 2/3 innings.

    He gave up one unearned run on five hits and one walk with one strikeout. Cooper Schallenberg closed out the victory with the final strikeout in the seventh while supplying two hits.

    Trager Shultz went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the No. 9 spot for the Cardinals (20-3). Carter Durako had a hit with an RBI and run.

    Grant Blackburn suffered the loss in seven innings. He struck out six while giving up one earned run on seven hits and no walks.

    NORMAL U-HIGH 3, SPRINGFIELD HIGH 2 (9 innings): At Normal, Braden Mehn scored the walk-off run following an infield error in a Central State Eight Conference win for the Pioneers.

    Devan Tupper struck out 10 and gave up two runs on four hits and two walks in a complete game for U-High (18-6, 5-1 CS8).

    Seth Impson also fanned 10 for SHS (11-10, 6-2) in eight innings in a no-decision.

    MOUNT PULASKI 15, MACON MERIDIAN 3 (5 innings): At Macon, Landon Smith and Chance Payne each homered en route to a nonconference win.

    Smith finished with three hits and three runs while Payne had four RBIs. Eric Cooper and Aaron Volle each had two hits. Liam Smith picked up the win in a complete game. He gave up three unearned runs on three hits and four walks with nine strikeouts.

    ATHENS 7, DECATUR ST. TERESA 1: At Decatur, Cody Tobias allowed one unearned run on four hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in five innings and the Warriors picked up a nonconference win.

    Tobias led off the order with two hits while Zakk Edwards, Josh Harris and Davis Ihamel also had two hits apiece. Owen Alderman closed out the final two innings with five strikeouts.

    NORTH MAC 10, CARLINVILLE 0: At Carlinville, Collin Etter and Payne McLean each finished with two hits in a South Central Conference win.

    McLean also had two RBIs. Quinn Morrow struck out 12 in a complete-game win. He allowed just four hits.

    HAVANA 6, CONCORD TRIOPIA 5: At Concord, Carter Brooks went 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs in the leadoff spot for the Ducks. He also delivered the win on the mound in five innings. He gave up three unearned runs on one hit and four walks with three strikeouts.

    MENDON UNITY 8, RUSHVILLE-INDUSTRY 3: At Rushville, Bennett Fretueg and Macon Kessler each had three hits in the loss for the Rockets. Fretueg hit a solo shot in the fourth inning.
