Here are the State Journal-Register's athlete of the week nominees.

Natalie Alexander, Chatham Glenwood, girls track and field

The senior claimed three events and Chatham Glenwood captured its home invite on Friday. The Titans won first place out of 11 teams. Alexander won the 200-meter dash in 26.06 seconds and her signature event, the 300-meter hurdles, in 48.37 seconds. She also contributed to the winning 4x100 relay (50.11 seconds) with teammates Trinity Caldwell, Breashira Hemingway and Layne Matthew.

Jillian Cameron, Pleasant Plains, softball

The senior hit a walk-off RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to escape with a 9-8 nonconference win over Pawnee on Monday. Cameron, hitting from the No. 9 hole, finished with two hits and two runs.

Alyse Day, Rochester, girls soccer

The senior goalkeeper saved the day with a penalty kick save and totaled four saves in a 1-0 shutout win over Quincy Notre Dame at Sacred Heart-Griffin on Friday. She also had four saves in a 3-0 nonconference win over Mahomet-Seymour on Monday.

Seth Impson, Springfield High, baseball

The senior pitcher carried the Senators to a 2-0 Central State Eight Conference win over Sacred Heart-Griffin on Wednesday. Impson struck out seven in a complete game. He gave up just five hits and one walk.

Rylann Law, Chatham Glenwood, girls soccer

The junior scored two goals and the Titans got all its scoring in the first half to capture a 3-0 Central State Eight Conference win over Rochester on Wednesday.

Luke Martin, Mount Pulaski, baseball

The sophomore supplied the walk-off single with one out and the Hilltoppers scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for a 6-5 nonconference victory over Southeast on Friday.

Izzy Nowack, Williamsville, softball

The junior homered and drove in five runs in an 11-8 nonconference win over Washington on Saturday. In the bottom of the first, Nowack singled to left field to score both Naomi Roberts and Reese Larson to give the Bullets a 3-0 lead. She belted a grand slam and wound up with three hits and seven RBIs in a 10-9 nonconference loss to Geneseo on Friday.

Lexie Patton, Buffalo Tri-City/Sangamon Valley, softball

The sophomore hit the go-ahead RBI single and the Tornadoes broke the game open with five runs in the sixth inning en route to a 13-10 nonconference win over North Mac on Wednesday. Tiffany Farley and Lily Woodworth also produced RBI singles in the sixth and TCSV (15-3) led 13-8 by the end of the frame. Patton additionally belted a solo home run in the third inning and finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs.

Carly Szoke, Athens, softball

The senior served up the walk-off RBI double in the seventh inning en route to a 5-4 nonconference win over Rushville-Industry on Monday. Szoke finished with two hits and two RBIs.

Alek Terlecki, Chatham Glenwood, baseball

The junior delivered the walk-off, three-RBI double with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Titans to a 4-3 Central State Eight Conference win over Sacred Heart-Griffin on Saturday.
