Arlington, Virginia: The last Northern Virginia location of nationwide seafood chain McCormick & Schmick’s closed permanently on Sunday, October 25. Parent company Landry’s Inc., the hospitality conglomerate run by Texas billionaire Tilman Fertitta, plans to relocate employees to sister restaurants like Morton’s The Steakhouse in Crystal City, Chart House in Alexandria, or the McCormick & Schmick’s in National Harbor — the last regional one left. The surf-and-turf power spot shut down its sole D.C. location along K Street NW back in 2024 after 28 years, when its lease was up. Landry’s bought the brand, around since 1974, back in 2011 for $131.6 million. Around a dozen U.S. outposts remain around the country. 2010 Crystal Drive, Arlington, Virginia.
