    Chargers Boys Tennis Completes Season Sweep of Perth Amboy

    SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys tennis team defeated Perth Amboy 4-1 on Tuesday. Spotswood's victory completed the season sweep. The Chargers improved their overall season record to 4-1.

    Liam Reimer won his first singles match over Dante Perez, (6-2, 6-4). Corey Miller defeated Bryan Arias in straight sets, winning, (6-0, 6-0). Aidan Levy won the first set over Perth Amboy's Roberto Grande, 6-2. Grando rallied to take the second set, 6-4. The pair played a tiebreaker to decide the third set. Levy lost the back-and-forth tiebreaker 11-9. Spotswood first doubles team of Kayden Turner and Matthew Pollard won their match with Ian Liberata and Jaury Castillo, (6-1, 6-0). The second doubles team of Kirelos Salib and freshman Marco Campos won be forfeit. This was the first varsity appearance for Campos.

    Spotswood returns to the court on Wednesday. The Chargers travel to Colonia Park to take on Bound Brook High School. Bound Brook has an overall season record of 4-7. Matches begin at 4 p.m.
