Superheroes assemble! Last Spooner Elementary School Rails Rally recognizes the trait of ‘Creativity’

SPOONER — April Superheroes at Spooner Elementary School were recognized with certificates during the May 2 Rails Rally. And hard as it is to believe, it was the final one for the school year, which is rapidly coming to an end.

Each month during the school year, Spooner Elementary School students gather for a Rails Rally, a loud, fun, spirit-filled gathering building school spirit and pride. They sing songs and have special events, spotlighting positive achievements of students and the school.

Principal Chris Berghammer then passes out special Student of the Month certificates of achievement to students who have demonstrated excellence in the personality trait of the month.

The students earning certificates dress up as characters such as Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Captain America and other superheroes. It is a day filled with capes, masks and a lot of fun. Proud parents and family members are invited to the event.

The character trait for the month of April was “Creativity.” It is defined as, “Using your imagination to create something new or solve a problem.”

One by one, the happy children are announced, assembling on the gym floor, almost like the Avengers!
