SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A Spencer man has been sentenced for drug charges for the second time in his life.

Todd Williams, 57, was sentenced for conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine back in April 2004, the Department of Justice said in a release.

On April 17, Williams was again sentenced for drug charges. He received 13 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Williams pleaded guilty to the charge on November 1, 2023.

Prior to Williams’ arrest, officials executed a search warrant at his home and found an estimated 2.7 pounds of meth as well as $50,000 in cash. Law enforcement said that Williams was not at home during their search, but was seen driving by the home while they were searching. Law enforcement attempted a traffic stop and was led on a short pursuit that reached speeds above 100 mph before Williams was finally arrested.

Williams was sentenced to 158 months in prison and will have to serve an eight-year supervised release term after his release.
