One diamond season ends, another limps toward the playoffs
If a jeweler took their high powered loupe to look at the Titusville diamonds these days they would find some murky clarity. The girls softball team is ending their year unsure about their lineup as they were in week one and the boys baseball team, who a week ago thought they were beginning to peak at the right time, are now wondering if they are prepared for the playoffs.
District track and field will test Titusville Rockets’ mettle
The Rockets head to Slippery Rock University Saturday in hopes of making a top two impression to stamp their ticket to states. The event begins at 10 a.m. “The state standards are very difficult to achieve, but the top 2 in each event get to progress to states,” said girls head coach Stacey McDonald. She said the 4X800 relay squad has a legitimate shot, though knows some injuries are also playing a role at the trend of the season. “We hope they can be resolved by next Saturday,” she said.
Nick Milano approved as next head coach in wrestling at Fort LeBoeuf
The Fort LeBoeuf school board has approved the hiring of Nick Milano as the next head coach in boys wrestling after the departure of head coach Shane McChesney from the program. In addition, now former Girard head wrestling coach Jason Johnson has joined the Bison as an assistant coach.

It was announced at the Titusville School board meeting that girls varsity swim coach Seth Come is resigning. Come coached the squad to a region title tie with Slippery Rock this past year. He has decided, with the recent arrival of his third child, it is time to take a break from coaching to focus on his family. Also stepping down is assistant swim coach Taylor Mosher.
