North East, PA (September 30, 2023) - On Saturday evening, emergency officials were notified that a fire broke out at the First Baptist Church in North East. According to online Erie County agency records, calls for assistance were received by 911 dispatchers at around 6:55 p.m. on September 30. Multiple firefighters responded to the scene to battle the blaze at the church, located at 43 South Lake Street, across the street from the Circle K convenience store in downtown North East.
