SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - The Springfield Business Development Corporation discussed the 2024 Healthcare Outlook and its impact on the region’s economy. Elevators stop working at Jenny Lind Hall Apartments
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - For the second time this year, the elevators have stopped working in the Jenny Lind Hall Apartments near downtown Springfield. A letter Millennia Housing Management sent to residents, obtained by KY3 news, states the two elevators are no longer working and will have to be replaced. It goes on to read a temporary fix will be sought until the elevators are replaced.

Damaged pipe on James River Freeway median closes left westbound lane
Repairs to a damaged pipe on James River Freeway west of U.S. Route 65 near the Glenstone Avenue exit will close the westbound inside shoulder and far left lanes until further notice, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. SPD says man fatally shot himself during alleged robbery attempt at Springfield drugstore
A man turned a gun on himself as he was being approached by authorities responding to an alleged robbery at a drugstore on Wednesday, according to Springfield police. Police said that around 11 a.m. officers responded to a call at Lawrence Drug on Republic Road of a man who slipped a note to an employee demanding drugs. When officers went inside the store, SPD said the man pulled out a gun and took his own life.
