However you use or ride bicycles — and at whatever age — you’ll find a way to do that with others in the 19th annual Fat & Skinny Tire Festival from May 17 to 19 in Winona Lake. Last year, the celebration counted about 2,300 participants, 7,000 spectators and 300 volunteers. One person dead in mobility scooter vs. pickup truck crash in Huntington Saturday evening
HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WPTA) - One person is dead following a crash between a mobility scooter and a pickup truck that happened in Huntington on Saturday evening. According to a press release from the Huntington County Coroner, at around 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 68-year-old Wayne M. Hamlin of Huntington was struck by a pickup truck traveling northbound while crossing the street on his mobility scooter at the intersection of Warren Street and Washington Street.
ISA Scholarship Winner
The Indiana Sheriff’s Association recently awarded 40 $750 scholarships to high school seniors across Indiana. Addison Mehlberg, 18, Leesburg, a senior at Warsaw Community High School is one of the scholarship recipients awarded by the Indiana Sheriff's Association. She will be attending Ball State University in Muncie, where she will study criminal justice/criminology. Her parents are Scott and Stacey Mehlberg, Leesburg. Manchester University MAT Program Ranked First In Indiana
NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester University's Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program has been ranked first in the state by College Factual. Five Indiana colleges and universities were ranked by their master's programs in athletic training.
