Ethan Fantel led off he bottom of the 14th with a double. After a walk and a bunt, the Vikings loaded the bases with another walk. Jack Leach's single drove in Fantel to break the 2-2 tie.

Leach had another run-scoring single earlier in the game. Brian Culhane was 2-for-5 with a run scored for South Brunswick.

Fantel, a senior left-hander who last week returned after being sidelined for a month after being hit in the face with a line drive, was the starting pitcher on Monday for South Brunswick. He went six innings, gave up three hits, a run and four walks, and struck out six. Aaron Perna came on in relief, pitching 3 2/3 innings, allowing one hit and one run, walking two and striking out five. Winning pitcher John Koch was spectacular in relief, striking out 10 batters in 4 1/3 shutout innings, allowing two hits and walking two.

St. Thomas Aquinas starting pitcher Gavin Sansone allowed two hits and one unearned run in nine innings.
