Despite March levy loss, Fairfield will reinstate busing for students in August
FAIRFIELD – Busing for thousands of students attending classes in the Fairfield school district will return in August. Better than expected revenue - $2.9 million – and lower than projected spending - $3.6 million – has pushed back a $11.1 million deficit projected for June 2027 following the defeat of a 6.9-mill operating levy in March that would have raised $15.9 million annually.

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Kimber Cobbs of Warren, Ind., and Halle Briner of Silver lake, Ind., were named to the dean's list at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed spring 2024 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.
