    Girls soccer: Lakeside draws with Shoreland Lutheran, shuts out Lodi

    SOMERS — Lakeside Lutheran’s girls soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with host Shoreland Lutheran in nonconference play on Friday.

    The Pacers scored in the fifth minute on Kalyssa Carter’s goal.

    Lakeside equalized in the 47th minute on Abigail Wood’s unassisted score.

    Maria Vik stopped eight shots for the Warriors (3-4-2).

    STOUGHTON — Hannah Tomasik scored in the 18th minute and Stoughton tacked on a pair of insurance goals after halftime in a 3-0 home win over Lakeside in nonconference play on Thursday, April 25.

    Meadow Sawicki scored in the 47th minute and Addy Milota’s goal in the 55th minute capped the scoring.

    Maria Vik stopped 10 shots for Lakeside, which hosts Columbus on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.

    TUESDAY’S RESULT

    Reagan Jobke and Kylie Lundgren each scored first-half goals for Lakeside Lutheran’s soccer team in a 2-0 win over Capitol Conference foe Lodi at LLHS on Tuesday, April 23.

    Jobke, a freshman, scored unassisted in the ninth minute. Sophomore Kylie Lundgren doubled Lakeside’s lead when she scored off senior Megan Huber’s assist in the 21st minute.

    Senior Maria Vik stopped eight shots in her clean sheet for the Warriors (3-1-1, 1-1-1 in conference).

    “From the kickoff, we set the tone against a strong Lodi squad,” Lakeside girls soccer coach Hannah Uher said. “Tough conference matchups are often won in the midfield, and we saw especially dominant play from freshman midfielder Abigail Wood.

    “We had a great practice on Monday, and the girls applied it directly to this game — creating chances and finishing in the back of the net. Both Jobke and Lundgren placed excellent shots to give us the advantage tonight.”
