10-week Ind. 45 road closure coming to Monroe County. What you need to know.
Ind. 45 southwest of Bloomington will be closed for about 10 weeks starting May 22 as construction crews repair a bridge. The project will take place just east of Darrell Drive on a bridge over Indian Creek, about 3.5 miles southwest of the state road’s intersection with Interstate 69 in Bloomington.

East side KFC, Taco Bell to close May 19
A Bloomington-area Kentucky Fried Chicken and Taco Bell both announced they will close at the end of the week. The east side KFC and Taco Bell are located at 2901 E. Third St. and 3001 E. Third St., respectively. A KFC employee clarified the restaurants are separately owned, but both will close Sunday.
NHanced Semiconductors cancels plan for west Bloomington facility
NHanced Semiconductors has canceled its plan to bring a manufacturing and packaging facility to Bloomington’s west side. The company broke the news Tuesday at a meeting of the Monroe County Council, which approved a tax abatement last December for NHanced so it could bring operations to 301 N. Curry Pike.
