Belden man rearrested for 2020 armed robbery
TUPELO – A Lee County man who failed to show up for his own trial in circuit court last December was rearrested man last weekend. Timothy Rydell Montgomery, 42, of Belden, was arrested May 18 by the Tupelo Police Department on a capias warrant. Montgomery was indicted in October 2020, accused of robbing a man of cash at gunpoint the preceding summer.

Man charged with business burglary, car theft
TUPELO – A Fulton man is accused of breaking into a manufactured housing business and stealing a company vehicle in mid-May. Tupelo police responded to Southern Homes on South Gloster Street May 13. Employees told the responding officers that an individual had broken into a display mobile home and was found there by employees. When employees contacted 911, the suspect fled the scene. After the suspect left, the employees realized that a company vehicle had been moved to a nearby location and its keys were now missing.

Mooreville man charged with death of Skyline pedestrian
TUPELO – A Mooreville man was arrested Saturday night and charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian Friday afternoon in the Skyline community. William Tyler Phillips, 27, of County Road 1595, Mooreville, was arrested by the Mississippi Highway Patrol May 18. He was booked into the Lee County Adult Jail at 10:14 p.m., charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
