Bridgeport Students among Individuals Recognized as Winners of Harrison County Young Writers Contest
During the April 16 meeting of the Harrison County Board of Education, students were recognized for their writing ability. Several of the students are from Bridgeport. Harrison County Schools Curriculum Specialist Stephanie Runion recognized the winners of the Harrison County Young Writers Contest. She was joined in the presentation by Superintendent Dora Stutler.

A long vacant site that used to be home to a new and used car dealership for decades will soon see a new business open up shop. According to a Harrison County official, the site situated at the intersection of Davisson Run Road and U.S. Route 19 (Milford Street) will soon be home to the second DG Market grocery store in Harrison County.

Gas prices down slightly after ‘skyrocket,’ AAA says
Gas prices in northern West Virginia have dropped by five cents this week after "skyrocketing" 15 cents two weeks ago and increasing again the week after. The average gas price is now $3.59 per gallon of regular gas, according to AAA data.
