Maintenance on Loop 289 and I-27 bridges to start next week
LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) - The Texas Department of Transportation is ready to begin work on a bridge maintenance project that will make improvements and repairs to several Loop 289 and I-27 bridges in Lubbock. Contractor Ti-Zak Concrete, Inc., of Le Center, MN, is scheduled to begin work next week on the $1.19 million safety project.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Another round of thunderstorms today present similar severe threats to yesterday. The leftover thunderstorms from this morning break up and clear out a bit, before more thunderstorms develop in the afternoon, posing similar threats of golf ball sized hail and 70 mph wind gusts. Lightning and potential localized flash flooding are threats as well, along with the unlikely but still possible threat of tornadoes.
