Field & Stream Lodge Co. to open in Oregon and California
Field & Stream Lodge Co., the hospitality platform born from the Field & Stream media brand, has announced the locations of its next two properties: a 151-room basecamp in Bend, Ore., set to open in 2028 following a full renovation of the former Shilo Inn; and a renovation of the former Holiday Inn Resort Big Bear, a 148-room property on Village Drive featuring a restaurant, meeting space, suites and an outdoor pool and hot tub.

Field & Stream Lodge Co., the outdoor-focused hotel brand backed by Barry Sternlicht's Starwood Capital Group and Ben Weprin's AJ Capital Partners, announced this week it's adding lodges in Bend, Oregon and Big Bear, California, its second and third properties three years after launching. The developers bought a 151-room former Shilo Inn on the Deschutes River in Bend and a 148-room former Holiday Inn resort in Big Bear, both slated to open in 2028 following full renovations. The brand's debut property, a 179-room converted Holiday Inn in Bozeman, Montana, opened in May 2025.
