MEAD, Wash. — The Mead School District Board of Directors said it passed a resolution and sent a letter to Gov. Bob Ferguson asking him to opt Washington into the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program by Jan. 1, 2027. The board said it took that step after the Secretary of Education visited Spokane and urged the governor to join the program.
