The May 21 Tornado in Adams County/Greenfield is the first EF-4 in western Iowa area in 25 years
Just before 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21. A tornado began in far northeast Page County, Iowa. For the next hour and fifteen minutes, the violent tornado raked through parts of Adams and Adair Counties, including over the southeast side of Greenfield (the county seat of Adair County, with a population of 2,062 residents). This tornado was responsible for snapping and twisting wind turbines in Adams County and significantly damaging numerous homes.

(Glenwood) -- A Red Oak man was arrested on a warrant in Glenwood Tuesday evening. The Mills County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Brandon Lane Good was arrested shortly after 7:30 p.m. on a warrant out of Montgomery County. More housing demo projects set in Shenandoah
(Shenandoah) -- Shenandoah officials are targeting four more nuisance properties for demolition. Earlier this week, the Shenandoah City Council approved a bid for eradication of city-owned properties at 809 5th Avenue, 301 College Street, 212 East Lowell Avenue and 211 West Sheridan Avenue.
