Pridefest is returning to Danville
The VC Pride Coalition is bringing Pridefest back to Danville for its second year. Before the event last year, we spoke to one of the members, who was optimistic about bringing Pride to Danville. Over a thousand people came out to celebrate, show their support and have a good time. This year’s festival promises to be even bigger with an expanded space as well as vendors, music from DJ Silkee, speakers from the VC community, performances, a pet parade, a diaper drive, a Drag King/Queen story hour, and a scavenger hunt. It Takes a Village plans events for the community to bring positivity and happiness back into the community. Hoskins says the basketball camp is only the beginning of what he has planned.
