New England auto mogul funds grants for school music programs
Gov. Phil Scott paid a visit to the West Rutland School Wednesday, and brought with him the gift of music, or at least the funding for it. The Governor was joined by Subaru of New England Ernie Boch Jr., who was a musician before making his fortune in the auto industry. He is an advocate for music education, and is awarding grants to music programs at Vermont schools through his Music Drives Us foundation.

Man charged with DUI, excessive speed in Weybridge
WEYBRIDGE — A 28-year-old local man was arrested and charged with DUI and excessive speeding after Vermont State Police stopped his vehicle on RT 17 near Weybridge Rd. Luis F. Jimenez, of Weybridge, was pulled over at 12:41 p.m. on June 7 for traveling at 85 mph in a 50 mph zone and displaying erratic driving behavior.
