Richland County restaurant inspections conducted May 15-20
The following restaurant inspections with critical violations were conducted by Richland Public Health between May 15 and May 20:. ● Dollar Tree #06925, 600 Springmill St., Mansfield, May 15. Food package(s) received in poor condition (critical, corrected during inspection). Observed dented cans of garlic and herb pasta sauce, traditional pasta sauce, refried beans, small red beans, beef raviolis and jellied cranberry on the retail shelf, rendering the contents unable to be guaranteed for safety. Ensure cans are visually inspected for dents and defects along the lids, seals and side seams. Person in charge (PIC) voluntarily discarded 11 damaged cans. Food package(s) received in poor condition (critical, corrected). Observed three cans of black beans to have the nutritional labels including ingredients ripped off. PIC voluntarily discarded cans. Presence of live insects (critical). Observed various flying insects in the bathroom hallway concentrated near mop sink. Facility is to completely remove all evidence of insects, disinfect the area and contact a licensed pest control operator by reinspection May 21.
