SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — SkyLand Ranch in Sevierville is under investigation by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture following a complaint.

A spokesperson for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture said in a statement Thursday that the investigation was opened following a livestock welfare complaint was made on Wednesday for the ranch.

The Department of Agriculture added that additional comment is not available because the investigation is open.

Mark Willford, one of the owners of the ranch, shared that the investigation had to do with the attraction’s longhorn cattle and the department of agriculture has already inspected the space where the cattle are kept.

“The TN Dept. of Agriculture already came out and inspected. They found no issues. The investigation had to do with our longhorns and they inspected the feed and the pasture we keep them in at night, which is 25 acres,” Willford said.
