Former sports pub in Emmaus could become apartments
EMMAUS, Pa. – A building that was once home to a longstanding sports bar in Lehigh County may become home to new apartments. The former location of Volpe’s Sports Bar in Emmaus is the subject of a zoning hearing board meeting to consider a change of use special exception. The owners of the property at 52-54 S. Fifth St. in the borough are proposing to convert the existing commercial building space into residential apartments, according to the meeting notice.

Farmers Market offers rent incentive, asks community to support vendors
The owner of the Lebanon Farmers Market says it’s taken longer than he wanted it to, but the market is headed toward his goal of moving in the right direction. Jared Mizrahi, owner of PCI Auction Group in Manheim, bought the 33,000-square-foot property at 35 S. 8th St., Lebanon, in a December 2024 auction for $1.35 million. Last week, Mizrahi announced an incentive to attract new vendors – three months of free base rent for signing a minimum one-year lease by Nov. 15 – as well as plans to create a community advisory board.
